Dreams are captured in this mixed media fusion piece featuring a textured canvas layered with ephemera, found and created objects. The textured canvas showcases layers of texture and color in earth tone inspired colors, with exposed printed paper and a sewing pattern in the background. A vintage barnyard STAR serves as a beacon in the upper right of the canvas, looking down on the layered found object collage that includes a vintage right angle, spring, key, drawer pull, sewing machine foot and a small capsule holding watch parts.
This canvas rests over an encaustic collage of a variety of imagery including dancing BALLERINAS (side top left), map segment, crossword puzzle, vintage printed papers and more. All of this is housed in a handprinted wooden frame in a coordinating rich brown with a metallic finish.
